Aloe Vera – Probiotics and Over Training

Aloe Vera to combat exhaustionExercising has become incredibly popular nowadays, but a majority of us will go overboard. A typical example of people who go overboard or over train are at the gym three or four times a week giving it their all. Many people who are training to this degree week could experience overtraining.

Overtraining can best be described as experiencing burnout or chronic fatigue. Or put another way – It is an imbalance of physical and psychological training or competition. The early stages of overtraining can be from over exertion and no enough periods of rest. This is called the orthosympathetic form. In the advanced stages your orthosympathetic form can reach a level of exhaustion, which allows the parasympathetic system to become dominant.

The Orthosympathetic Over Trainer

The orthosympathetic over trainer is in a constant stage of fight or flight mode which is born out of fear or action, which should be incidental periods where the body’s adrenal gland will pump out hormones similar to adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol while increasing the human growth hormone and stimulating the thyroid hormone. These glands are the splinters of the group of glands; they have not been created to cope with the grueling demands of a marathon.

The Parasympathetic over Trainer

The parasympathetic overtrainee will produce some of the symptoms usually associated with Addison’s disease. Occasionally, it is described as Addisonoid overtraining. The adrenal glands have become exhausted and they can stopping working effectively and fail to regulate hormonal concentrations as they should, which can cause a serious problem. If routine blood work were to be performed on the overtrainee, it is likely to show progressive anemia with low hemoglobin and low hematocrit.

The person who over trains could complain of underperformance while other common symptoms are susceptibility to common infections and injuries, persistent high level of fatigue, heavy muscles and depression. These are very common symptoms for serious athletes. The athlete’s reaction to times whereby they are underperforming is to neglect rest in prefference to even more training. Many times these common symptoms will be ignored until performance is affected more frequently.

Additional Symptoms Of Over Training

Other additional symptoms of over training is at night and experienecing difficulty sleeping or waking up in the middle of the night or waking up and feeling as though only a few hours of rest have been gained. Other symptoms can include weight loss or lack of appetite, loss of their competitive drive – which could have disasterous consequences for an athlete. A raised emotional instability such as anxiety, depression and mental exhaustion, a poor attitude to training and musculoskeletal soreness all figure prominently.

There is a solution which can be best described as a simple do-it-yourself method of monitoring. You can do this by checking heart rate in the morning when you awaken. Take your pulse immediately after you wake up while you are still in bed. If your pulse is elevated by more than eight beats per minute above its average, you are falling into the category overtraining.

A body weight check can also prove a real eye opener especially in the mornings; your average weight per week should not alter or change more than 2lbs. If it drops more than 3lbs. on any given day, you are again becoming a victim over training.

To solve the condition, the first thing that should be done is to rid your self of any unnecessary stress and workloads and increase your rest. In severe cases, the athlete should stop training altogether for 7-14 days. Have more sleep – Increase your sleep periods to about 9 hours of solid sleep a night and increase your antioxidant intake to 200%.

You will also need to combine a whole food diet and Aloe Vera and probiotics. Many athletes have trained for 3 or 4 times per week without giving their bodies the necessary food and fuel it requires to keep up with the arduos amount of training. Improving the body’s immunity of the athletes can reduce the number and the length of the infections aquire or they may receive. Aloe Vera along in conjunctions with probiotics will do just that.
